So Now What?

My son comes to church now every Sunday….. and yes, that should be a good thing.  But, his presence seems to aggravate me to no end (since we are still not speaking) and he knows it.    Many have said to just ignore him, but it is like waiting for a child not my son to stop having a temper tantrum.  But after a while, you want to ____child not my son ____!

STRIKE THAT LAST STATEMENT FOR THE RECORD!

But all jokes aside,  you may not believe that I am not angry with my son, but I am extremely frustrated by this entire situation.   I do realize that he believes that he is justified in his feelings and his actions.  Obviously, my son is very angry and hurt, maybe?

Now the moment that you all have been waiting for (drum roll please) THE REVELATION!  I had resigned myself to the fact that God would simply turn his life around and I really wouldn’t have to be a part of it. Yeah, Cop Out Right!  Well, the fact is that can’t happen!  God will not allow my son to walk in the plan that has been ordained for him without him forgiving me (for whatever I really did… since  I believe that there is more here than meets the eye).

Thank God that the ball is in my son’s court….

Why has this situation lasted so long between my son and I?… Lord only knows.  So my struggle continues and now I realize that the time will come that I will hug my son again and welcome him back to the family.   The Prodigal Son!   Luke 15: 11-32

Really…Really God??  Yes, there is NOTHING impossible for God!

So Now What?

  1. Hello Candy. Believe me, whatever your son thinks you did to wrong him can’t be worth all the pain. If you don’t know exactly what you did, I would say that even in a criminal case, the offender if told what they did wrong. I am not much of an adviser. I have been known to be wrong, but if I were you, I would at least be glad that he is attending church. Know that he is praying along side you, to the same God. Take care. I feel for you.
